Six months on from the ceasefire in the seven week conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

Just after the conflict began, we spoke to two women on different sides of the Gaza border; Abeer Barakat is a mother-of-four who lived through the war in Gaza and Adele Raemer is a mother and grandmother living in a kibbutz just over the border in Israel.

Both said their children are dealing with the trauma of living so close to conflict.

"The psychological effect the assault has left on my kids is huge, I don't know how I'm going to fix my kids for the future... they are still wetting their beds, they are still suffering from nightmares," said Abeer.

Adele feels both sides need to educate their children to prevent future conflicts.

"We have to start teaching our children other things to raise a generation that is going to look towards peace...to look to the other side as people who can be partners...instead of people that are shooting at each other," she said.
