Young drivers: Don’t impose driving curfew on us
Students from City College Plymouth have told 5 live they oppose any curfew on young drivers.
Road safety campaigners say around 9,000 injuries could have been avoided over the last two years if the government had introduced restrictions on late-night driving.
"I wouldn't change anything, I would keep it as it is," says 16-year-old Zoe. "If you're trusted enough to be driving, then you should be able to drive safe."
"Obviously young drivers are too fast and too excitable," says James, 18. But he thinks the answer is "more speed cameras".
"Don't change the rules. Just change the roads."
