Had we known he was a burglar, "we might have left him in there a little while longer" says student Tom Burdett.

After a night out, Tom and his friend spotted a burglar dangling by his legs from the window of a university building in Nottingham.

Tom said "he was doing a handstand while his legs were jammed into place on the window frame" and was in "a lot of distress".
