Alcoholics and staff at a 'wet house' share stories
In Southampton the Society of James runs three intensive houses or wet houses for alcoholics, one dry house and a care home for residents who need twenty-four hour care. Men and women of all different ages and backgrounds live here and try to change their lives.
Erica Julier, who runs the Intensive Houses and is passionate about the care that they offer to their clients, said: 鈥淚t could be anybody. Anybody could access alcohol and end up being an alcoholic. Come and spend a week with my clients, you could relate to one of them I can assure you.鈥
