A year ago, we asked former Goldman Sachs economist Jim O鈥橬eill - the man who first identified the 'BRICS' nations more than a decade ago - to tell us which countries would become the next big emerging economies. He predicted that the big development success stories would be the MINT nations - Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey.
But are these markets proving to be the big drivers of global economic growth and dynamism that had been hoped? Or are they being hamstrung by authoritarianism, violent crime and corruption? Jim O鈥橬eill is in the hot seat as we ask these and other questions.
