Lonnie Donegan enters Michael Ball's Singers Hall of Fame
Nominator: Tony Ball
Tony has his choice of Lonnie Donegan inducted into the Singers Hall of Fame on Sunday Night with Michael Ball.
Why: "He was the 'King of Skiffle' - he put a smile on the face of music in '60's Britain with his No1 Hit song 'Rock Island Line', followed by a host of others, which inspired a whole nation of home-made Skiffle groups… all singing their hearts out to the Lonnie Donegan hit numbers… and I was one of them!"
Well thank-you Mr. Ball for a brilliant nomination!
