Can Modi kick start better India-Pakistan relations?
India's newly-elected prime minister, Narendra Modi, has held a brief meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on his first full day in office. Narendra Modi is viewed as a Hindu hardliner and his party, the BJP, advocates a tough stance when it comes to relations with Pakistan, so the invitation to the Pakistani Prime Minister has surprised many. Does this meeting signal the start of new relations between the two countries? Pram Pal Chaudhuri is foreign editor of the Indian paper, the Hindustan Times, and Aziz Khan is a former Pakistan Ambassador to India.
