The pilot of the Ten Pieces project (involving 16 schools in London and Greater Manchester) showed a dramatic impact on children’s interest in and enjoyment of classical music. Before taking part, 70% of the children had never been to a classical music concert. Afterwards, 78% were keen to go, and there was a 100% increase in the number of children who ‘really liked’ classical music.
