I Fell From the Sky
British paraglider Guy Anderson on the near-fatal crash in a remote part of the United States. Plus, operatic trio Sole Mio from New Zealand, perform Yellow Bird live.
Guy Anderson had a paragliding accident in 2012 which nearly killed him. He tells the story of his fight for survival, and the epic search operation launched to find him.
Sole Mio are tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati, and their cousin, the baritone Moses Mackay. They came together three years ago as a threesome to raise funds for their international vocal studies and their debut album, also called O Sole Mio, was the biggest selling album last year in New Zealand.
In 2009, Clare Wood was murdered by her ex-partner, George Appleton, who had a record of violence against women - although this was not known at the time. Clare's father Michael Brown believes that Clare would still be alive today, if she had known about George Appleton's past. Michael campaigned for Clare's law, also known as the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, to allow someone to ask the police about a partner's previous history of domestic violence or violent acts.
