Groundwater flooding threat and Oxford鈥檚 WW1 gas mask

The villages threatened with ground water floods, a new campaign to repair broken electrical items, and we continue our WW1 at Home series with the Oxford gas mask trails.

Phil Gayle and friends bring you Oxfordshire's brightest breakfast show. We investigate how one south Oxfordshire village is now under a flooding threat from a rise in ground water levels, and look at a new campaign to stop throwing away broken electrical items and get them fixed instead. We continue our WW1 at Home series with the story of how the gas mask was invented in Oxford by scientist John Scott Haldane, who experimented on himself and sometimes his family in order to develop a workable gas mask to protect the troops.
