Several countries are keen to join the US, UK and Israel in adding unmanned aircraft to their military arsenals. However, due to controversy surrounding their use in Pakistan, few are keen to call them 'drones'. Owen Bennett-Jones discovers what's in a name when it comes to war.
In Afghanistan, David Loyn meets Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, a military leader accused of war crimes. Now running for office, he sees the forthcoming elections as a chance for vindication.
