Metal Theft & Burials

Police in Hinckley say they've seen an 80 per cent drop in small-scale metal theft since a ban was put on cash sales at scrap dealers.
The move, last year, paved the way for a new law which came in this October and requires traders to use photo ID and keep a record of all transactions. Breaking this new law is punishable with a fine of up to five thousand pounds.
We joined Police in Hinckley who say it's already making a significant difference.
Also... How would you like to be laid to rest when you die?
Do you envisage a traditional send-off with a church service followed by burial or cremation? Or maybe a natural burial, laid to rest in a wicker coffin buried in some leafy corner of Leicestershire?
Now here's a thought, what about having your remains scattered from a hot air balloon, a skydive or go out with a bang with your ashes added to a firework for a spectacular display?
While some of these things may sound far fetched and certainly unconventional, we may have to give careful consideration to alternative ways to go because burial space is running out.
Take Leicester. It's being predicted that there's now only enough burial space in the city to last the next 25 years.
Beyond that....who knows??!
Well, Leicester City Council is currently running a consultation, seeking ideas and input on future burial and cremation services.
