Telling a story through music - using description
A group of children learn how to tell a story through music, using the story of Petrushka by Stravinsky as an example. There is a description of the parts of an orchestra, with a closer look at the brass section and in particular the trombone. The soldier from the story is introduced, and the children are asked to describe him. They think about the beat of a march and how to interpret this through music.
