Jersey Battle of Flowers
Each summer the Channel Island of Jersey holds its annual floral festival the ‘Jersey Battle of Flowers’. The main event is the procession of flower bedecked floats, which until 1964, ended in a mass ‘battle’ of flowers where the blooms were torn from the floats and thrown to spectators in the crowd, who invariably threw them back. The clip is taken from Making An Effort (1959).
