Series and parallel circuits
Series circuits are described as simple. Fairy lights are used as an example. An explanation is given of how any break in a series circuit results in no flow of electricity. Parallel circuits are then described. A go-kart track with two routes is used as a model, before a hair-dryer is given as an example. An explanation is given of how a break in a parallel circuit only results in components on that branch not working.
