  David Sheppard was born in Reading in the early 1880s, and studied at Oxford and Bristol before joining the 麻豆社 not too long after Lord Reith came up with the idea.聽

  Since then he鈥檚 been heard all over the place, playing songs and being silly in between. His love of the West Country and notorious dislike of early morning starts combine to make his late night show - broadcast across South West England and the Channel Islands - an ideal place for him to hang out.   David loves classic vehicles and owns an old Western National coach, which he drives all over the country at weekends - if it's working.聽

  He鈥檚 also a trustee of a Devon-based charity which looks after several vintage vehicles from the West Country.

  He loves anything pickled, especially if it was once a fish, and has a halibyte memory for numbers though not names.
