French diplomat and spy Colonel Mercier has been abducted by Nazi Spies in pre-war Warsaw. They are interrogating him to find out what he knows about Russian emigres Victor and Malka Rozen, and undercover agent Olga aka 'The Countess'. Mercier has other ideas.
