The Lord's My Shepherd and He Knows I'm Gay

In this report, Peter France meets Christians who believe it is possible to be gay, despite the Church's pronouncement that homosexuality is a 'grievous sin'. (1977)

Despite the Church's pronouncement that homosexuality is a 'grievous sin', some Christians believe it is possible to be gay and in step with their faith. In this report, Peter France speaks to some of the leading figures in the Gay Christian Movement, including clerics and academics, who have taken inspiration from an American sect to form their own religious organisation. Yet some Christians still feel pressure to remain in the closet and refrain from speaking openly about both their sexuality and their faith. (1977)
