How plants are adapted to survive

Modern technology allows us to watch how plants grow. We know they take in carbon dioxide and convert it into sugars and starch, using this as a source of energy for growth. However, we don鈥檛 yet know everything about photosynthesis.
As plants cannot move around, they must be adapted to many different living conditions, and able to respond to their environment. In some places, they will have limited light, in others they will have limited water.
