An introduction to squash
Squash professional Linda John Smith talks about her life as a squash player. A week in the life of a squash player, when not travelling around the world playing tournaments, is generally made up of two training sessions per day. One of the sessions is on the squash court practising technique, tactics and routines. The other session will be in the gym, working on fitness. For a non-professional, squash is a dynamic, competitive sport which provides a good workout in a short space of time. Linda's top tip is to always return to the 'T' in the centre of the court so that you can control the rallies and play the ball early in a volley. Practice, in her opinion, does make perfect.
