Mixed heritage, religion and politics in the Middle East - Palestinian rights (pt 5/7)

Reya El-Salahi visits the West Bank, travelling through the checkpoints and meets those campaigning for Palestinian rights. She discusses the beliefs of those on either side of the debate, and watches the queues of Palestinians trying to cross into Jerusalem to pray on the last day of Ramadan. After the protest descends into violence and stones are thrown at Israeli soldiers, who retaliate by firing tear gas, Reya becomes upset at the force used by the Israeli army.

This is the personal journey of presenter Reya El-Salahi and also features contributors with extreme religious and political views. It deals with conflict in Israel and the Middle East from both the Jewish Israeli and Palestinian Arab sides. Issues of race, religion and contentious politics are explored. In order to explore balance across the differing political points of view.
