The craft of screen printing
Heritage meets high fashion, as presenter Paul Martin travels to Stroud in Gloucestershire for a lesson in silk screen printing from textile designer Liz Lippiatt. Using easy to prepare hand cut stencils, Liz goes through the steps of basic screen printing to produce a scarf. She introduces a technique known as devor茅, which removes surface fibres from mixed fibre fabrics, before dying and finishing the scarf.
