About the Show
PirateÌýGold is a race against time on Â鶹Éç Radio Lincolnshire every Sunday from 10am to 12pm. The team, who don’t have access to the internet, maps and books, need your help in solving clues to find the Pirate Gold insideÌýtwo hours by 11.55am.
We aim to take you to parts of the county you may not have visited, tell local stories you have never heard and take you to events you’d like to visit.
Our team is made up of Jono Brine in the studio, who keeps an eye on your suggestions for solving the clues. Then there are chasers Rachel Baynton and Amy Claridge who are out and about in the County trying to find the gold . They are accompanied by driver Alan Dunlop or driver Claire Morris. Back in the studio Pirate Queen Maria Richmond sets the clues.
Jono Brine
Jono is the newest member of the Pirate Gold team (He won on his first go and still goes on about it now).
He grew up on the Lincolnshire coast, and has lived in Scothern, Louth and Lincoln. Although he claims to know Lincolnshire very well, he has an inability to give accurate directions.

Chasers
Rachel Baynton started with the Pirate Gold team in the Autumn of 2018.Ìý A yellowbelly by birth, Rachel works as a lecturer at the University of Lincoln. Unfortunately for a chaser Rachel has no senses of direction! Amy Claridge joined Pirate in 2017. A keen cook and food enthusiast, who enjoys cooking at her Lincolnshire beach hut. Amy has a love of everything Lincolnshire. The best way to distract her while on a chase is to put a dog or cat in her way.

Drivers
Our Chasers Rachel and Amy would get nowhere without driver Alan or Claire. Driver Alan Dunlop’s family moved to Lincolnshire from Scotland a few (!) years ago. Ever-patient with his chasers, Driver Alan can be distracted by a tractor or bacon butty. Driver Claire's day job is behind the scenes at Â鶹Éç Radio Lincolnshire. She is probably more competitive than the chasers, and doesn’t like them dithering or dawdling. A couple of years ago the Pirate team helped Claire mark her up-coming wedding by being driven around Cadwell Park.Team Pirate
Welcome to the dark side! Maria Richmond, the only ever-present since the show began. Working with Amanda Northcote-Wright, Maria sets the clues and plots the routes the driver and chasers need to take.
