In the news hour from 5pm, an inquest has heard a man was three times over the drink drive limit when he drove his car into a waterway after a stag night in Great Yarmouth. Coroner William Armstrong recorded a verdict that 25 year old Charles Watson, also known as Sam, died accidentally from drowning. Lesley talks to our reporter Cath Saunt who was at the inquest.

Labour are accusing the Education Secretary Michael Gove of wasting more than two million pounds on his plans for free schools. The shadow Education Secretary, Stephen Twigg, claimed that Beccles Free School has been allocated 拢2m for only 37 pupils. However, a spokeswoman from the department for education said the school will open with 68 pupils. She added that free schools are opening more quickly, have been delivered more cheaply than previous schemes and are proving overwhelmingly popular with parents. She went on to say that the vast majority of free schools which opened in 2011 are already full. Lesley chats to Peter Byatt, a Labour councillor on Waveney District Council and the National Union of Teacher's secretary for the Lowestoft area.

The exams watchdog in England, Ofqual, has said this summer's GCSE English results were properly graded. It said January's GCSE English papers were graded generously but the June boundaries were set correctly. Teachers had claimed the grade boundaries in English were raised between January and June, putting students who took the exam this summer at a disadvantage. Lesley speaks to Dan McCarthy, the National Executive Member for Suffolk at the teaching union NASUWT.

In the first hour from 4pm, Lesley chats to Simon Rose about this week's films and DVDs.
