Two men have been jailed for a total of 45 years following Suffolk's biggest ever drugs haul.

In the news hour from 5pm, two men have been jailed for a total of 45 years following Suffolk's biggest ever drugs haul. Frederick Colverson, from London, has been sentenced to 25 years and Terance Smith from Thetford has been given 20 years. Stephen Foster has been following the story.

Campaigners fighting to save Mildenhall's only building society have learned that their campaign has been unsuccessful. During a conference call with bosses at the Nationwide, it was confirmed they'll close their branch in the town at the end of August. Our west Suffolk producer Philippa Taylor has the details.

The world of astronomy is mourning the death of one of its pioneers. Sir Bernard Lovell was the director of Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, which blazed a trail for radio telescopes around the world. He's died aged 98. Tom Boles, who runs Coddenham Astronomical Observatories, looks back at his life.

In the first hour from 4pm, we've just passed the 50th anniversary of the death of Maralyn Monroe. She died on the 5th August in 1962 after taking an overdose. Her life will be remembered in a show written by Lorena Cenci from Needham Market. She joins Lesley for a chat in the studio.
