The RMT union has again called for a full investigation into the impact of cuts to rail services across the UK. It comes as Greater Anglia announced slower and reduced services from today due to the hot weather affecting overhead cabling near Chelmsford. Network Rail insists that their 拢200m project to upgrade track equipment in Essex continues wihout cuts. Foz speaks to the RMT's General Secretary, Bob Crow.
A new fuel depot has opened for business in Ipswich, promising to serve farms and communities across the region. The 拢2m project, built on Ransomes Europark, has also secured 25 jobs in the area. It's the only fuel distribution plant now serving our part of East Anglia. Foz speaks to Simon Willis, the general manager of Pace Fuel Care, which runs the site.
