Breast cancer in older women
Breast cancer is still the most common cancer and 15,000 of the 48,000 diagnosed annually are women over 70. Research shows many older women remain unaware of their growing vulnerability to developing breast cancer as they increase in age. Baroness Delyth Morgan, chief executive of Breast Cancer Campaign and Mr Jayant Vaidya, who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the breast, join Jane Garvey to clarify the screening debate and examine research findings.
