Sticky tape inspired by beetles

Dr Mark Miodownik puts to the test a novel design of sticky tape.

The tape has been developed by Professor Stanislav Gorb of the University of Kiel in northern Germany, in collaboration with the German technology firm Binder and was inspired by observing how beetles and other insects stick to surfaces.
