Watching whales
One of the smallest of the great whales, the dwarf minke whale travels all the way from the Antarctic to the Great Barrier Reef to calve or to mate. They are very inquisitive, particularly when adolescent, and will come right up to check out humans, including presenter Monty Halls. This experience offers a fantastic view but also an intense experience as their call is so powerful it can not only be heard but also felt.
