John Allison from The Allisons

Roger Day chats to John Allison about how coming second in Eurovision led to millions in record sales, plus Grant James is here with an hour of big band and swing music.

This evening we meet the man who became the first Eurovision artist to sell a million records. As a relatively na茂ve 21-year-old, John Allison came second in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest with his group The Allisons and went on to score number 1 singles around the globe.

He tells his amazing story to Roger Day. Our Classic Album of the week is The Who Sell Out, while Roger also takes us through a Future Classic - Lioness: Hidden Treasures by Amy Winehouse. Grant James is here from 9pm with an hour of the best big band and swing music.
