The Owiny Sigoma Band are a Nairobi-London band who mix traditional Kenyan Luo styles with contemporary western influences. Their self-titled debut album was released earlier this year and has been endorsed by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Damon Albarn who also plays organ on two tracks.
