Sounds of Suffolk with BVCR, Deben Radio & ICR FM

Jon Wright hears the sounds of Suffolk, a special collaboration with some of the county's community radio volunteers.

The waves lapping against Suffolk's shingle shores, trains, skateboards, enthusiastic geese, market traders, Anglo Saxon poetry and the odd darlek.

We've put together a special half hour programme, made as a colaboration between 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk, Blyth Valley Community Radio (BVCR), Deben Radio and Ipswich Community Radio (ICR FM).

Working to the brief "tell us a story using sounds as a starting point", the contributions have been devised, recorded and edited by the volunteer teams.

Then from 1pm, Jon Wright explores why sounds are so emotive and hears how we can put our own 'noise' on the British Library's UKSoundMap.
