The Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames appears to have little in common with its northern namesake - Kingston-upon-Hull.

In 2011/12 - Kingston-upon-Thames is facing a reduction in its spending power of 2.57% - compared with 8.9% in Kingston-upon-Hull.
