Shag colonies in Wales
Iolo Williams investigates why a shag colony in West Wales nests and breeds a whole month earlier than usual. Shags are a type of cormorant and build their nests on inaccessible rock ledges and sea cliffs but some nests are better positioned than others, depending on the age and experience of the birds.
