One woman's remarkable fight to free her brother after his wrongful murder conviction
BETTY ANNE WATERS
In 1983 Betty Anne Waters was working as a waitress when her brother Kenny was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without parole.
Betty Anne believed Kenny was innocent and was determined to prove it so she spent the 12 years training to be a lawyer, so she could represent him. Her story has just been turned into a Hollywood film called Conviction.
Betty Anne tells Jo Fidgen about her long fight to prove Kenny's innocence and the impact this struggle had on her life.
