Aamir Khan
Peter Day hears about one of the world's most buoyant movie industries from a someone right in the thick of it.
Peter Day talks to Aamir Khan about effecting social change via the huge Bollywood film industry.
Aamir Khan is different to other Bollywood actors in that he only makes one film a year and he often is the producer for it as well as starring in it.
He seems to have the ability to take a serious issue and make a song and dance entertaining film - but without losing the message.
He did it about British rule with two films (one called Laagan was short listed for an Oscar), he has done it on dyslexia and he has done it on the high pressure education system of India (that causes the highest rate of suicides among students).
His new film looks at the plight of farmers in India and the high death rates.
