Dragonflies have been around for more than 300 million years. They were already on the wing when our four-legged ancestors were still crawling around in swamps. Dragonflies are the Red Barons of the insect world - fast, agile, aerial aces. Male emperor dragonflies are fiercely territorial. When rivals meet, they test each other鈥檚 flying skills to the limit. Their dogfights can be vicious and even deadly.
