Ailsa: Sam McGuffin's Kitchen
Local band, Ailsa, have produced a second CD - ‘Sam McGuffin’s Kitchen’ and members, Wilbert Garvin and Barbara Gray, tell Conal Gillespie all about the CD.
The group have chosen poems from various County Antrim writers such as Samuel Turner - and Wilbert explains how these local dialect poems provide a source of social commentary from the era.
Barbara explains that this record has more of a ‘folk’ feel, with poetry that refers to the everyday lives of people including their weaving profession. (Broadcast: 14 Mar 2005)
