READING THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

Richard Taylor visits Holy Trinity Church in Coventry and its spectacular wall painting depicting the Last Judgement. It shows the just being ushered into heaven and the damned to hell. Richard explains how instead of being an image terrorising medieval people with death, it showed them how to live. And it has humour with comic scenes shows both rich and poor judged together.
