Campaigning on the Internet

The internet is a perfect forum for campaigning. Users can post information about any subject and reach people worldwide. Climate Change Activist, Leo Murray, explains how easy it is to share your views on the web. It can empower everybody who wants to use it. It has altered the nature of communities. Would-be crusaders can easily circulate information and round up supporters for petitions, marches, protests and other pressure group activities. David Runciman from Cambridge University acknowledges how quickly a movement can take off online, although worries that political protesting may be more short-lived than it used to be. The narrator is Dr Aleks Krotoski
