As a student Arthur Mutambara campaigned against the abuses of President Robert Mugabe's regime. Now as deputy prime minister of Zimbabwe he is in government with him.

Arthur Mutambara was a student leader in the late 1980s campaigning against the abuses of President Robert Mugabe's regime. Now, as deputy prime minister of Zimbabwe, he is in a power-sharing coalition with him. He tells Owen Bennett Jones how he deals with old enmities, why the unity government is the only way forward for the country's politics, and why he admires Che Guevara.
