Keaton Classic

The Story of Slapstick charts the history of the world's most popular comedy genre. Whether you're three or fifty three we all seem to love physical humour. It doesn't matter if they're slapped, banged or walloped, there's simple glee in the misfortune of others. In this clip from 1928, slapstick legend Buster Keaton performs his most famous stunt. In a time before visual effects Keaton risked life and limb; an inch to the left or right and he would have been seriously injured. His bravery and brilliance gave cinema one of the most iconic images of all time.
