The Rolex Middle Sea race which traditionally marks the end of the Mediterranean offshore season commences and concludes in historic Valetta. For the 37th occasion a cosmopolitan fleet numbering over 100 vessels take on this classic adventure. The 606-nautical mile route takes in the Straits of Messina, the deep, azure waters of Sicily, the islands of Pantelleria and Lampedusa and Stromboli's active volcano as a mark rounding.
