The city of Raqqa has been controlled by so-called IS for over 2 years. Almost everything we know about it comes from RBSS. It is a brave resistance, that has come at a price.
Sarah Montague speaks to Hussam Eesa, from the citizen journalism group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS). The Syrian city of Raqqa has been under control of so-called Islamic State for over two years, and almost everything we know about life inside the city comes from RBSS. The group was set up by a group of young students to document IS atrocities and to counter their narrative. It's a story of extraordinary and brave resistance, but one that has come at a huge price.
