Hydebank Farm

Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to Hydebank Wood College and Women鈥檚 Prison to find out more about their farm that houses an impressive pedigree flock and newly bought ram. The Office for Environmental Protection has issued a stark warning to the farming sector here and the Edward Adamson from the National Sheep Association tells Nicola about the threat of MV to the sheep sector in Northern Ireland and how robust testing backed by the Department of Agriculture is the only way to keep the industry MV free. Stuart Oaks from Rosuick Organic Farm has been digging through history to come up with an alternative to plastic when it comes to baling on his farm in Cornwall and Nicola speaks to farmer William Clark at his Craighall Farm pumpkin patch in Antrim and discovers some healthy competition between husband and wife during Covid sparked this diversification.
