A Joyous Exploration: Ebo Taylor & Meera Sodha

Cerys hears from Ghanaian afrobeat pioneer, Ebo Taylor around his new project, Ebo Taylor JID0222 and welcomes cook Meera Sodha live to talk about her new book, Dinner.

Cerys curates an eclectic Sunday Selection, handpicking you music from across the musical spectrum and welcomes legendary Ghanaian afrobeat pioneer, Ebo Taylor to talk about the new project, Ebo Taylor JID0222, which is a collaboration with Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad.

At 88 years of age, the Ghanian highlife musician travelled to the US for the very first time to perform at the now iconic Jazz Is Dead concert series, selling out venues across the country. It was during this time that Ebo recorded a psychedelic afrobeat album alongside Jazz Is Dead producers Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad. The project will be released on 25th October via Jazz is Dead.

She also welcomes cook and food writer, Meera Sodha, to talk about her latest book, Dinner, which draws on Meera’s renowned Asian-inspired, meat-free recipes.

All this plus music from the likes of Klo Pelag, Louis Culture and Annarella and Django including some classics along the way.
