100 Years of the 麻豆社 in Northern Ireland
A celebration of the past, present and future of 麻豆社 Northern Ireland as we look back to the impact of that first broadcast 100 years ago.
On the 15 September 1924, radio receivers in the greater Belfast area crackled into life as local 麻豆社 services began from 2BE. 100 years later, Steven Rainey and his panel Liz Kennedy and Alex Kane will be taking a look back at the excitement and impact of that first broadcast, and the possibilities that broadcasting unlocked for writers, musicians, actors, technicians and engineers and the 麻豆社鈥檚 growing audience. Including interviews with the official historian of the 麻豆社 Professor Jean Seaton, journalist and broadcaster Gavin Esler and comedian Tim McGarry. Plus a review of the Sunday newspapers and an interview with newscaster John Suchet on how to help carers of those living with a diagnosis of dementia.
