Your perfect Sunday soundtrack

Sarah Walker with three hours of classical music to reflect, restore and refresh, whether you’re brewing a cup of tea or on your way to see friends.

Sarah Walker with three hours of classical music to reflect, restore and refresh.

Today Sarah’s selections feature the sublime orchestration of Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, alongside Louis Couperin’s chatty ‘Duo in G minor’, and an effervescent piece for harp by Henriette Renié.

There’s also music by Vincent D’Indy which conjures up an ocean scene, and an early work by Vaughan Williams transports us to Salisbury with atmospheric hazy strings and haunting woodwind melodies.

Plus, Jean Sibelius is at the castle gate…
