Tinariwen
All the way from northern Mali, Tinariwen come to London for a Late Night Prom in celebration of their pioneering and distinctive sound. Esteemed exponents of the so-called βdesert bluesβ, this collective of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara region of their homeland combine traditional Tuareg and African music with elements of Western rock and jazz, earning themselves a worldwide reputation and a Praetorius Music Prize.
