Presented by saxophonist Soweto Kinch, Radio 3鈥檚 late night jazz show showcases new UK jazz and shares the best releases from across the world.
This week鈥檚 guest is composer and tuba player Theon Cross, who is playing the 麻豆社 Introducing Prom at The Glasshouse in Gateshead this Saturday. He鈥檚 been handing out respect and recognition to the living legends and unsung heroes of jazz each day this week. Today it鈥檚 the turn of British saxophone great Courtney Pine.
This weekend it is also Latitude Festival in Suffolk, and 'Round Midnight have curated a number of jazz acts on the 麻豆社 Introducing stage - TC & the Groove Family, Oreglo and Josef Akin. We'll hear a piece from Josef Akin in this programme, and you can tune in to 'Round Midnight on Friday August 2nd to hear live music from each of our acts recorded at Latitude.
